21st. Century Skills


Introduction
Human beings are in the 21st. Century, it means many things have changed, for example, all students look for information on the Internet instead of going to a library, lend a book, and read the information, In addition, in some countries students use platforms to upload their tasks.

21st. Century Education
According to Pearce, K (2020), people have studied the nature of creativity and learning, and how to relate both capactities in a knowledge-based economy. So, 21st. century education refers to give students the skills they need to succeed in this digital world, and helping them grow their confidence to integrate those skills. In addition, it focuses on making sense of information, sharing and using it in different ways. 

The following video shows how people use technology in learning. In some countries, students use digital books in their learning process so, they can work on their tasks where they can by using their mobile devices as smartphones, tablets, or computers.

The value of a 21st. Century Education
Success is diferent now than years ago. Many people choose to opt out of the traditional job market and create their jobs. Successful people expect to be able to:
  • Live and work anywhere in the world
  • Travel as often as they like
  • Change what they are working by looking for their interests and skills
  • Choose their work schedule 

21st. Century Students

Generation Z and Alpha

Conclusion
Teachers are in the 21st. century, they have students who are part of Generation Z and others from Generation Alpha so, they learn in different ways using different resources as social networks, smartphones, computers and tablets. Teachers need to update their methodologies to accomplish students develop the skills needed.
